At Alexander & Doyle, P.A., in Cary, North Carolina, Ann-Margaret Alexander dedicates her
practice to guiding clients through family law challenges, such as custody, support, property
division, divorce, adoptions, wills, estates and probate. Ms. Alexander is a Board Certified
Specialist in Family Law and Certified Parenting Coordinator.
Ms. Alexander often encounters individuals during some of the most trying times of their lives,
whether due to divorce or losing a loved one. Leveraging her extensive experience, she skillfully
assists clients in achieving favorable outcomes through mediation, negotiation, or litigation. With
a blend of patience, experience and knowledge, she helps clients navigate their cases toward the
best possible resolution. Furthermore, the Court has appointed her to assist in high-conflict
divorce cases involving child custody issues. She has also shared her insights through continuing
legal education presentations to other attorneys in 2015 and 2019.
Before pursuing her legal career, Ms. Alexander graduated from the University of South Carolina
in 1988. She earned her law degree with honors from North Carolina Central University School
of Law, where she contributed to the North Carolina Central Law Journal. She was admitted to
the North Carolina State Bar in 1995.
A respected figure in the legal community, Ms. Alexander is an active member of the North
Carolina Bar Association – Family Law Section. She previously served on the executive council
for the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division from 1998 to 2001 and
participated in the Social Committee with the Wake County Bar Association. Additionally, she
chaired the Wake County Bar Association Swearing-In Committee, facilitating the swearing-in
of new attorneys. Ms. Alexander is currently serving on the Grievance Committee for the Tenth
Judicial District.
Ms. Alexander also devotes her time to several volunteer organizations. She is a sustaining
member of the Junior League of Raleigh and currently serves as president of the Kappa Kappa
Gamma – Greater Raleigh Alumnae Association. Recognized for her outstanding legal acumen,
she holds a “Superb” rating on Avvo and an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through
